We act for the deceased’s family to ensure the Coroner proceeds with an Inquest into the circumstances of a death. Quite often, it requires the assistance of a solicitor to put the case forward to the Coroner for an Inquest to be undertaken.
We represent the family at the Inquest and ensure that the circumstances and facts of death are uncovered, explained, and understood. Often our clients can be very confused and, of course, extremely heartbroken and want answers as to what happened and what caused the death of their family member. It is our goal to ensure that an Inquest happens if it is required and that the cause of death is determined. This closure can be of immense benefit to clients.
In the case of accidents and medical negligence (deaths in work, road traffic accidents, hospitals, surgical procedures, etc.), there can be an element of fault and negligence that is only uncovered, discovered, identified as a result of the Coroner’s Inquest. These findings may lead to a civil case of negligence. If this is the situation, then we are already in place with full knowledge of the case and will, therefore, act as legal representation on behalf of the family.
We understand that this tragic time can be so upsetting for the loved ones of the deceased and deal with the case with the utmost respect and strive to make the process as easy to deal with as possible.
Our goal is to ensure you get the answers you need and the outcome of any case that may follow the Coroners Inquest. If you would like to talk to us about your situation, please contact us, and we will start the process together.
